What’s in Your Reflection?
The photography prompt this week is: Mirrored
It is often said that as photographers, the photos we create are a snapshot of who we are at the moment we press the shutter.
In that way of thinking, our photos act as a mirror to ourselves, reflecting our emotions, moods, and state of mind at the time the image was photographed.
Sometime the mirror image is a perfect symmetrical reproduction of the real and the reflection.
More often than not, what we get in the mirror is a little different.
Imperfect.
Even surprising at times.
This week is about capturing mirrored images in all forms. They don’t have to be from actual mirrors, as any reflective surface or similar idea will suffice.
You are encouraged to explore the way that slightly changing your perspective, or the angle of view, can create a whole different photo.
If you are looking for inspiration,
recently shared this creative gallery of mirrored photo art. Like the famous ink tests of Hermann Rorschach, we look at the images and project some meaning or association onto these images from our perspective. You might consider how you project your own stuff onto the imagery you see in the world, as well as how you relate to the personal language of your photos.
Go forth to find those mirrored moments and share a few pics with us on Substack or your Aminus3 website.

Last Week’s Prompt Photos: “Stairways”
Many thanks to all who shared a photo or two for the Stairways prompt last week.
There were so many images it was a challenge to pare it down. Below are a few selections that resonated together.
Under the photos you will find links to all of the Substack photos that were posted this week, as well as a link to the gallery of pics posted on Aminus3.

And finally, a call out to
who shared this stairway from Angkor, rich in symbolic meaning. As he describes :See all the photos shared on Aminus3 for last week’s Stairways prompt.
