Stairway to Somewhere
The photography prompt this week is: Stairways
The last few prompts have been somewhat conceptual in nature, and so this week we turn to something a little more concrete.
Whatever part of the world you live in, you are likely encounter a stairway somewhere along the way.
Stairways are often a trusty backdrop in both street and architecture photography, from rustic wooden steps to spiraling staircases that inspire awe and wonder.
While “stairways” can be a simple literal idea, you might also consider the symbolic aspect of these constructs which lead us from one level to another, step by step, ascending or descending as we go.
What are some other creative ways that you can feature stairways into your photography this week?
Give it some thought and share some photos with us here in Substack Notes, or on the Aminus3 website.

Photographing different types of “Power”
Looking back through the photos shared for last week’s “Power” prompt, there was a great diversity of themes and ideas.
Rather than our usual presentation of images organized in grids of visual or thematic elements, the photos below are a series of diptychs grouped by different kinds of power.
Enjoy the photos and be sure to check out the full gallery of Power images shared on Aminus3.
