Be Inspired and Learn Something New
There is much written about the power of threes, in life and photography.
Along with a previous prompt dedicated to threes, this number features in the very identity of the photography community behind these newsletters: Aminus3.
Having done three's before we set out for something fresh, something new, something so radically different and better which elevates the magic of three, plus one more, a FOUR.
Threes are a great photo subject because they are open ended, unbalanced, not quite whole. But fours represent the whole coming together.
Yes! This week's photo prompt is four.
Humans seem to get a certain sense of satisfaction by grouping things into tidy fours.
We have four seasons, and also four elemental building blocks made up of fire, water, earth, and air.

Start looking for systems of fours and you will find them in spades, not to mention hearts, clubs and diamonds which go along together.
As always, it is up to you to take these photo prompt suggestions in any direction (north, south, east and/or west) that strikes your four-leaf fancy.
Photograph four subjects, four corners, the number four, or something highly creative and unique that I have yet to imagine as I sit here thinking of ways to put fours into photos. If you get frustrated looking for pics, try to keep your use of four letter words to a minimum!
The choice is yours, just don’t forget to share a few with us here on Substack or on Aminus3.com.
Gallery of “Globetrotting” Photos
Last week’s prompt had us traveling around the world, visiting places far away, and some familiar too.
We were reminded that sometimes what seems routine and local to you, might be exotic and unfamiliar to someone visiting where you live.
More than one person had to first decipher what the word “Globetrotting” means. I was reminded it is something of an outdated term.
pointed out that these days it is “all about wanderlusting and digital-nomading.”Here are some selections of the photos shared this past week which in total represent unique moments from 31 countries1 .

If you'd like to expand your horizons, I invite you to take a tour through all of the photos and places shared on Aminus3 and Substack.

@Aminus3 Photography prompt “Four”
Whilst out on this morning’s wanderings, I was pondering this week’s challenge.
Not far into my stroll I came across the following “Four” -
