Be Inspired and Learn Something New
Is there a place that is pure magic for you?
Or maybe the “where” of the place is not as magical as the “when” you photograph it.
Like a somewhat boring winter tree line at noon…
Becomes something more magical when the sun rises up behind the trees with a little fog for ambiance.
Sure, we can’t always command good light and fog by sheer force of will, but there is something to spotting out good locations for the right time and conditions to grace our humble viewfinder.
Where or when is your wonderland?
Give it some thought and create some photos!
Last Week’s Prompt Photos for “Details”
Last week we turned our attention to the little details that might be overlooked.
Winter weather across the northern hemisphere has created an opportunity for photographing intricate patterns in ice and snow.

Breaking out of the whiteness of winter, the colors and details of nature always inspire.
Photographing details can be combined with other techniques like minimalism, as in this photo from Gérard in France.
And speaking of, you can explore further into minimalism with this excellent article about “Capturing Beauty in Simplicity” published yesterday by @Alex Kustanovich
Don’t forget to honor all of us photographers who are getting up close to show those tiny details that others might have missed.
See all the photos shared for last week’s Details prompt.
Thank you fro the mention. I appreciate it.
