Be Inspired and Learn Something New
Last week we explored how you can photograph a “lifetime.” Meaning someone or something in their quintessential essence.
This week is somewhat the opposite. The idea is to photograph something that you don’t see or experience every day. An event that might even be unexpected or surprising.
It does not have to be some earth shaking event.
You could capture an otherwise ordinary moment of life like walking in the park, with the added element of something surprising coming into the frame.
Or something more unexpected, like one time while I was out strolling in Amsterdam, I photographed this strange UFO. Or a bird? Or a bird shaped UFO?
This week on April 8 will be a solar eclipse that is visible across the United States. This certainly qualifies as a unique phenomenon.
Even simpler, it might be a phenomenon of a more personal nature.
Consider something that you don’t see every day that stands out as surprising or unusual for you. Perhaps a different color in the sky or an unexpected weather pattern that you don’t normally experience.
All of these things are unique happenings in their own way.
What kind of phenomenon will you photograph this week?
Last Week’s Prompt Photos for “Lifetime”
Many lifetimes were shared last week for the prompt ranging from the sad to the surreal. Below were some highlights. You can go to Aminus3 to see all the photos shared for last week’s Lifetime prompt.
April 6. I share a birthday with Ashley. I also officiated at her funeral. I didn't know her, but I understand that despite being born with cancer, she always had a smile on her face. I visit her graveside from time-to-time. There is good and bad in every lifetime. ~ beach
