The photography prompt this week is: Joy
The prompt last week asked where do you get your “direction” from. This week is about where you find joy.
Remember when you were young… the simplest moments could bring incredible joy and happiness.
That quest for enjoying simple pleasures gets easily lost. With all the emphasis on constantly doing and achieving in the world, we neglect to carve out time for play and discovery.

As always, the prompt is open for your interpretation.
You can photograph subjects in a state of joy, which is perfectly valid, or perhaps you might think of the things that bring you joy, and honor them with an image or two.
Substack community, please tag Aminus3 Photography (using “@ aminus3”) in Substack Notes to ensure we see your post.

Now come on, get happy and show us those joy photos.
Last Week’s Prompt Photos for “Street Signs”
Snakes, alligators, and donkey crossings too. Last week’s “Street Signs” were a celebration of guidance on high, from sound suggestions to the surreal.
Also fun to see the way signs can be modified beyond their original intention by creative pranksters and voices of protest too.
I was greatly impressed by some of the poetic insights and thoughts shared with these images, which speaks to the power of signs much more eloquently than I can.
I’ll share this one from Wild Lion*esses Pride by Jay, you can find many more nuggets of wisdom shared throughout by clicking all the photo links below the images.
“Street signs always reveal far more than directions. They carry politics, weather, memory, empire, humor, and the strange poetry each landscape writes onto metal.” ~ Jay

I am honored for the citation and for being part of this great, inspiring and so vastly diverse collection of interpretations for this prompt. My absolute favorite „Follow your dreams“. It should be a mandatory street sign in every village and city and on every road.
A particularly amusing, bumper crop of prompt responses! I didn't expect so many droll interpretations of street signs.
And, as usual, I enjoyed the groupings of photos you chose, Jason.
