This is such a rich, reflective prompt, and all of the images from last week are blowing me away! I am looking forward to this exercise in introspection, thank you.

Love to hear that this is something you are interested to try out, thanks!

Wonderful prompt and I love that it goes so far beyond just finding a photo to use. I am guilty of finding an image, posting and that's that. While some of what you described goes on in my head, I don't typically write all of that out.

Thanks Lauri! Sounds like you are already well versed in connecting with your photos in a meaningful way.

I don’t do this sort of in-depth inner work for every photo, or every day, but it is a valuable tool to have available when needed, especially when I am seeking more clarity, or dealing with something going on my life that is challenging.

I try to as much as I can, as I feel it helps to create better images. I don't always feel comfortable or confident in describing this in-depth for my images though. Something I should practice more.

Beautiful intro to the next prompt—and thanks for the feature. Learning so much from everyone in this community and I hope my responses give back a little too.

Loved this write up! As a long time believer in both intentionality and synchronicity, I've experienced this many times as well. All very wonderful and awesome, when we allow ourselves to be open to what comes. And, thank you, too, for including me and my photo in your listing, it is an honor. 💖

Great to hear that you have also experienced these kind of meaningful connections @Ravensong

thank you for featuring my photo. Sometimes we post and write, never knowing if it makes any sense. But you gave my photo a home and I appreciate that! Keep up the good work. This is a wonderful community.

You are quite welcome Sean and thank you for the kind words. I thought your photo and thoughts paired nicely with this latest theme and ideas as well.

This definitely resonated with me. Thanks for presenting it in this way.

So glad to hear that, thanks Liz.

Intriguing concept, Jason. I look forward to delving into it.

BTW, my high school newspaper, of which I was the opinion editor, was called the Central ECHOES! I am sorely tempted to post a page from it that featured the butt of my heavily patched jeans.

Ha, that’s awesome Jeremy. You should post that, from the video you shared I can see those jeans were legendary.

Thanks for the invitation for introspection. I really like the idea of approaching my photos with the emotions I felt at the time of making them, especially when I read so much about how photos are often best when the viewer is not asked to know your intentions or feelings but just stands on its own.

I also really like how you referenced your journal from the time of the random photo you used for this post. I too keep a journal and am excited by the new angle for growth this offers by combining life happenings and art outcomes.

Thanks Kate, so glad this resonated for you and I am interested to hear your experience if you try the intentional question + random selection technique.
