Be Inspired and Learn Something New
I don’t often get caught up in Star Wars fever, but gave in this week as the annual “May 4” (May the 4th / May the Force) celebration comes around once more.
Truth be told, in recent years I’d be inclined to claim Star Trek as my favorite Sci-Fi universe over Star Wars. Regardless, sir, this is a photography prompt and as such, I ask you to consider the word “force” in all it’s many ways.
You might go for some magical forces in the universe which connect all things. Like the power of coffee of course.
There are other forces in the universe, what can you imagine?
The force of nature is ever present.
Or maybe air forces are your thing? Which also brings to mind special forces, and even a “show of force” as scene in the opening photo, which seems to be an unfortunate theme in the world today.
Don’t forget about forces of good, force of change, and force of evil.
What type of force will you photograph this week?
Last Week’s Prompt Photos for “Keys”
Last week’s prompt could also be interpreted in many different ways. The community rose to the challenge and shared a variety of keys of all types.
There were several ideas around the “Keys to Happiness”. One of which sparked a good discussion about a French idiom, “prendre la clé des champs,” which translates literally to, “to take the key of the fields.” Metaphorically it means to liberate yourself, or escape to open spaces.
From the comments on this post, the question was what phrase in English is similar? The best we could come up with was “Head for the hills.”
Another innovative idea to emerge was that of musical keys.
There were also some great images of computer keys and piano keys.
And sometimes, a key is just a key. New and shiny, or rusty and crusty.
